As the co-founder of Mathis & Mathis Disability Advocates, Dallas spent 13 years as a staff attorney for the Social Security Administration where he witnessed the frustration and suffering of those who were wrongfully denied benefits. Dallas began representing claimants for Social Security disability benefits in 1985 in a solo practice.
Dallas and his wife Judith founded Mathis & Mathis Disability Advocates in 1990 to address the inequities facing Social Security claimants. Today, Dallas is one of the most experienced and respected Social Security attorneys in the region. Although retired, he still consults for the firm on complex or difficult cases.
Dallas studied law at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.
